Mount Niseko Annupuri is a 1,308.2 m active volcano in Kutchan, Hokkaido, and the highest peak of the Niseko Range, within Niseko-Shakotan-Otaru-Kaigan Quasi-National Park. Its name comes from the Ainu Nisei-ko-an-nupuri, meaning a mountain at a cliff. In winter it is a world-famous powder-snow ski resort. In summer, a beginner to intermediate trail from beside the Goshiki Onsen information center takes roughly 3 hours 20 minutes for a 5.4 km round trip; routes also use the Grand Hirafu and Annupuri summer gondolas. The summit overlooks Mount Yotei, the Sea of Japan and the Niseko peaks.
