Mt. Bentenyama, 1,652.6 m, is a small grassland peak on the ridge running south from Mt. Ebiyama above the southern end of Lake Nozori, sitting just northwest of Fujimi-tōge in Nakanojō Town, Agatsuma District, Gunma Prefecture, within a special zone of Joshin'etsu-Kōgen National Park. A 20-minute walk from the Fujimi-tōge bus stop reaches the summit, where signature Nozoriko alpine flora — Rengetsutsuji azalea in June, Nozori-kisuge (day-lily) in July, fireweed in August and Ezo gentian in autumn — line the slopes. The peak is the gateway to circuit routes linking Ebiyama, Takasawa-yama and Sanpeki-yama, with conditions and route information provided by the Nozoriko Climbing Information Centre.
