Mt. Ryoushinokashira is a 2,042 m peak on the border between Gunma and Nagano Prefectures, lying on the ridge that runs from Mt. Shirasuna toward Mt. Chūjirō. It forms part of the Gunma Border Ridge Trail — at about 100 km one of Japan's longest ridge long-trails — and lies within Jōshin'etsu-kōgen National Park, on a route through 2,000 m-class peaks and alpine meadows reached from Lake Nozori.
