Ichinose Family Ski Area trail map
Ichinose Family is the main ski area of the Ichinose district in Shiga Kogen's Central Area, on the north-west slopes of Higashitateyama. Around its wide main slope runs the gentle 3.2 km Tengu course, a favourite with beginners, along with the intermediate Panorama run and the 30-degree Perfecter for experts, so moguls, steeps and tree-lined trails suit every level. Two high-speed quads serve the hill, and a cluster of hotels at its foot makes it an easy base for families and groups. There is night skiing, spring skiing lasts until about Golden Week, and the lift ticket covers all 13 Central Area slopes.
