Mount Asahi

Mount Asahi is a 2,867-metre satellite summit on the boundary between Asahi Town in Shimoniikawa District, Toyama Prefecture, and Hakuba Village in Kitaazumi District, Nagano Prefecture, lying some 500 metres west of Mount Hakuba (2,932 m) on the main ridge of the Ushiroyama Range. The peak sits within Chūbu-Sangaku National Park and is reached on a faint track from the ridge behind Hakuba Sansō. It features on the Japan 100 Highest Mountains list.
