Hakuba Tsugaike Mountain Resort trail map
Hakuba Tsugaike Mountain Resort is a big ski area in the Hakuba range, known for a top-to-bottom run of up to five kilometres and a season that lasts into early May. At the base, the Kane-no-naru-oka slope is more than 1,200 metres wide and gentle, ideal for beginners and families, while the Tsuga-no-mori slope near 1,700 metres has good natural snow and views of the Northern Alps. There is also the FIS-certified Shirakaba slope, terrain parks, and the gated TSUGA POW powder area, open after a short safety briefing. The Eve gondola links the base with the upper slopes, and added snowmaking supports an early-December start. Buses run from Hakuba and Nagano stations.

Off-piste is allowed only in the gated TSUGA POW area after watching the lecture video, signing the agreement and wearing the issued armband (18+, minors with conditions); the area closes at 14:00.
