Hakuba Cortina Ski Resort trail map
Hakuba Cortina is known for deep, all-natural powder: the resort uses no artificial snow, and the trees beyond its courses are opened as a self-responsibility area that draws strong skiers after every storm. The red-roofed Hotel Green Plaza Hakuba stands right at the foot of the slopes with its own hot spring, so guests can ski straight from the door. Sixteen courses run from the wide beginner slope at Ikenota to the 42-degree Hieda-yama pitch, with a kids' park and snow play area for families. A shared ticket covers neighbouring Hakuba Norikura Onsen. The season runs from mid-December to late March, and a free shuttle links the hotel with JR Minami-Otari Station.

Terrain outside the courses is open as a self-responsibility area (自己責任エリア) with no patrol, no sweep and search-and-rescue billed to the skier.
