Itoigawa Seaside Valley Ski Resort trail map
Itoigawa Seaside Valley lives up to its name: from near the top you look out over the Sea of Japan, with Mount Amakazari and Mount Yake rising in front. The terrain is varied, from a 1.6 km beginner run and the scenic Myojo ridge course to an ungroomed pitch of up to 38 degrees, and linked runs give a descent of about 3 km. Right beside the slopes, the White Cliff hotel has the Shio-no-Michi hot spring, known for leaving skin smooth. The resort is about 15 minutes from the Itoigawa exit of the Hokuriku Expressway, and buses run from Itoigawa Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen.
