Jizōdake

地蔵岳

Jizōdake is a 1,707 m peak forming part of the "Yatsumine," the rocky crest of Mount Hakkai, in Minamiuonuma, Niigata Prefecture, within Echigo-Sanzan-Tadami Quasi-National Park. Reached by taking the Hakkaisan Ropeway to the fourth station and climbing over Yakushidake, it is the first of the chain-laden Yatsumine pinnacles leading toward Hakkai's highest summit, Nyūdōdake (1,778 m). The climbing season runs roughly from June to November, and it features in several guidebooks to mountains around the Kantō region.
