Yudonosan Ski Area trail map
Yudonosan Ski Area is a small city-owned hill on Route 112 below Mount Yudono, one of the three sacred Dewa Sanzan peaks, in Tsuruoka. It is known as 'R Tengoku' (R Heaven): a snow park designer has shaped dozens of curved banks along and across the runs. The Sawa course, with curved walls on both sides, is the favourite, and there is also a terrain park and halfpipe. Four runs, including a 2 km tree-lined trail and a 35-degree advanced pitch, cover all levels; preschoolers ride free and there is a snow play area. It is about ten minutes from Yudonosan IC.
