Tadami Ski Area is a small hill on the edge of Tadami town in Fukushima, one of Japan's heaviest snowfall areas, run by the town's tourism company. A single pair lift with a mid-station serves one run, steepening to 33 degrees, and the view from the top is good. It has a homely feel that suits families, and snowshoe and snowmobile outings are also offered. The slope-side restaurant is known for ramen in a soup of local Tadami tomatoes and for mutton rice bowls. The season runs from late December to late March, and the hill is walkable from Tadami Station on the JR Tadami Line.
