Fairyland Kaneyama Ski Resort trail map
Fairyland Kaneyama Ski Resort is a small hill in Kaneyama, deep in the Oku-Aizu region of Fukushima, one of Japan's heaviest snowfall areas. A high-speed pair lift and a short second lift serve the Usagi beginner course through the trees and the Kamoshika A and B courses for intermediate and advanced skiers, laid out with plenty of room and often covered in soft snow. From the top there are wide views of Mount Bandai and the Asahi range, snowboarding is allowed everywhere, and a sledding and snow-play area at the base suits families. The season runs from late December to the end of March, about an hour by car from Aizubange IC or ten minutes from Aizu-Kawaguchi Station on the Tadami Line.
