Mt. Misaka

Mt. Misaka is a 831.8 m peak in the Hayato area of Mishima Town, Ōnuma District, Fukushima Prefecture, in the western Aizu region along the Tadami River. The mountain features old Japanese white pines, native himesayuri lilies and beech forest, with a radio reflector standing just below the summit. Two trailheads at Takihara Settlement and the Misaka Highlands reach the summit in about 2 hours 20 minutes over 5 km. The summit looks out over the Tadami River and the town of Mishima, with the Iide Range and Mt. Bandai visible on clear days. The peak is included in the Utsukushima 100 and Aizu 100 Mountains lists.
