Sotchidake is Shintotsukawa's small town-run ski hill. One pair chairlift serves a single gentle slope, 330 m long with 80 m of vertical and a maximum pitch of 18 degrees, suited to beginners and children. Floodlights allow night skiing into the evening. The lodge holds around 100 people and has a canteen and vending machines. Local children of junior-high age and under ride free, and prices are low for everyone.
