Open 1997–2013
Snow Valley Toga was a sizeable ski area in the mountains of Toga, now part of Nanto City in Toyama. Opened in December 1997, it had 570 m of vertical, ten runs from a 38-degree expert pitch to a 5 km cruising trail, a terrain park and 2,000 parking spaces, all fed by Toga's deep snow. A third-sector company ran it at first; after poor results the village bought it in 2000 and the Toga Furusato Foundation took over. Nanto City decided to close it, and the last day of skiing was 24 March 2013.
