Hyonosen Kokusai Ski Resort trail map
Hyonosen Kokusai is a city-owned ski area on the north face of Mt. Hyonosen, the highest peak in Hyogo Prefecture, run by MACEARTH. It is best known among serious skiers: the Romance Right run is a well-known badge-test slope that hosts prefectural championships, and a dedicated race centre offers gate training, which draws racers and alpine snowboarders. Beginners have the gentle Panorama run and a 2.1 km cruise from mid-mountain to the base, and families get a sledding park and a kids' area with a moving walkway. The season runs from late December to mid-March, about 30 minutes by car from the Yoka-Hyonosen exit of the Kitakinki-Toyooka Expressway.
