Banshu Tokura Ski Area trail map
Banshu Tokura Ski Area is a small hill on National Route 29 in the Haga district of Shiso, Hyogo, where you can walk from the car park straight onto the snow. After fresh snowfall the staff leave plenty of ungroomed powder and natural terrain to play in, and the Furikozawa slope offers steeper skiing. Three lifts serve the area, and a kids park, sledding space and lessons for young children make it suitable for families. It opens mainly on weekends, holidays and over New Year during the snowiest part of winter. It is about an hour's drive from the Yamasaki interchange on the Chugoku Expressway, roughly two hours from Osaka and Kobe.
