Yakimori is a 1,540 m peak of Akita-Komagatake, whose highest summit, Onamedake, reaches 1,637 m, on the boundary between Semboku, Akita, and Shizukuishi, Iwate. On its eastern side, Yakimori is known, together with Oyakezuna, for colonies of komakusa flowers. It lies at the southern end of Towada-Hachimantai National Park. A volcanic-gravel trail reaches the peak, a junction toward Yokodake and Yumoriyama.
