Mt. Kakuma

Kakuma-yama is a 1,981 m peak on the northern rim of the Asama volcanic group, in Tsumagoi Village, Agatsuma District, Gunma Prefecture. It rises along the ridge running east from Yunomaru-yama via Kakuma Pass, and Tsumagoi Village maintains the Nabefuta-yama / Kakuma-yama trail through the Kazawa Onsen area. The route is known locally as a "flower-viewing course" for its rich alpine flora, and the summit offers 360-degree views. The mountain is included in the Hana-no-Hyakumeizan (Flower 50 Mountains), Kantō-shūhen Shūmatsu 160, and Gunma 300 Mountains lists.
