Mount Onba

Mount Onba is a 1,059.2-metre peak in the south-western part of Shimonita Town, Kanra District, Gunma Prefecture, set among the rugged Nishi-Jōshū rock peaks along the Aokura River. Surrounded by quiet, steep crags and characterised by a sheer north face, it is reached from a trailhead beyond the hamlet of Tatsutaka along a forest road documented in Shimonita Town's official hiking guide. The peak is listed in the Nishi-Jōshū 120 Mountains, Gunma Hiking 130 and Gunma 300 Mountains selections.
