Mount Yotsumata is a roughly 900 m peak on the border between Shimonita Town and Nanmoku Village in Gunma Prefecture, also known as Shimonita-Fuji. Each of its four crests bears a stone Buddhist image, and its silhouette is a landmark visible from Shimonita and neighboring Tomioka. Together with Mount Kanna (Kanatake) it is one of the noted peaks of the Nishi-Joshu region and appears on several renowned-mountain lists including the 100 Famous Mountains of Gunma and the 100 Local Fujis of Japan.
