Mount Junigatake (1,201 m) rises on the border of Takayama Village (Agatsuma District) and Shibukawa City in Gunma Prefecture, marking the northern end of the Onoko Three Mountains together with Mount Onoko and Mount Nakano. The peak has long been worshipped as the seat of the Twelve Mountain Gods, and its summit gives a 360° panorama over the Kanto Plain. It is also known for its dogtooth violet (katakuri) colonies, and is listed among the Gunma 100 Famous Mountains.
