The western peak of Mount Takeyama (789 m), the symbolic mountain of Nakanojo in Gunma Prefecture, standing at about 742 m. Takeyama's summit comprises three peaks: Otengu, Nakatengu and Kotengu, and from Kotengu hikers can look out over the mountains of the Joshin'etsu region. A sacred mountain dotted with thirty-three Kannon statues and a bat cave, it is featured in the 350 mountains around Tokyo.
