Ski Resort Tenei Closed
Official name スキーリゾート天栄
Fukushima
Open 1995–2025
Ski Resort Tenei was a ski area at the foot of Mt. Futamata in Tenei, Fukushima, opened in December 1995 and run by the village development corporation. With one lift and four courses, it was known among strong skiers for the 38-degree pitch called the Tenei Wall, while its family slope drew parents with children. Less snow, fewer skiers and ageing equipment led it to stop operating in October 2021, and in September 2025 the village said it would abolish the ski area and return the national forest land.
