Shintokuyama is a town-run family ski hill right behind central Shintoku in the Tokachi region, about a seven-minute walk from JR Shintoku Station. A single chairlift serves four runs, Skyline, Onderabahn, Giant and the middle course, and the summit looks out to Mt. Meakan and the Daisetsuzan range. There is a sledding area beside the lodge, an SAJ-certified ski school runs lessons for kids and adults, and lift prices are low, so it is mostly used by local families and children learning to ski.
