Mount Karifuri

Mount Karifuri is a 1,323 m mountain in Minamifurano. Its summit has a second-order triangulation marker, and its name reflects the former boundary between Ishikari and Iburi provinces. There is no hiking trail; ascents are made over remaining spring snow. It is visible from Tomamu’s Unkai Terrace, and guided backcountry ski tours use snowcats in winter.
