Saroma Town Ski Area is a small municipal hill on the edge of Saroma, a farming town near Lake Saroma in eastern Hokkaido. A single-seat chairlift serves three runs, one each for beginners, intermediates and advanced skiers, and night skiing lets locals ski after school or work. It is used for school ski lessons, toddlers' sledding and skiers of all ages, with almost no lift queues, and the top looks out over the town. The season usually runs from January to March, and lift prices are very low.
