Kunneppu Town Ski Area sits inside the town recreation park and is free to use. It is a single wide slope, 250 m long and 104 m across, served by a 170 m rope tow, with a separate sledding course where tubes and sleds can be borrowed at no charge. It suits children and first-time skiers. On weekdays the tow runs from early afternoon into the evening so kids can come after school; Saturdays it runs all day and evening. The season runs from late December to late February.
