Rubeshibe Happodai Ski Area is a city-run hill in Asahi Park, Rubeshibe, part of Kitami in eastern Hokkaido, about five minutes by car from Rubeshibe Station. One pair lift serves a gentle 1,000 m beginner run, two family runs with pitches up to 18 and 23 degrees, and a sledding course, so it suits families and practice. The lift runs into the evening every day, making it easy to drop in after work or school, and the hill also hosts ski camps and races. The lodge has a rest area and a wax room, and the season runs from late December to late March.
