Tsubetsu Town Family Ski Area is a small town-run hill in the Kyowa district of Tsubetsu, eastern Hokkaido. Two rope tows serve a gentle, straight slope where children and beginners can learn without worry, and using it costs nothing. There is a rest hut with toilets and floodlights, and the hill hosts ski events for residents as well as evening sessions run by the local ski federation. The upper rope tow usually starts once there is enough snow in mid-January, and the season runs from early January to the start of March.
