Northern Arc Resort Ski Area is a hotel-based hill in the Tanno district of Kitami, about 15 minutes by car from the city centre and 30 minutes from Memanbetsu Airport. Its 216 m of vertical holds four runs from beginner to advanced, half of them easy, so it suits families and newcomers; the longest is about 1,350 m and the Viola run has moguls. Snow tubing, sledding, a ski school and rentals are on site, the hotel has a hot spring, and night skiing runs on Friday and Saturday evenings in January and February. It was formerly called Tanno Mobius Ski Area.
