Minamigaoka is Oketo's town-run ski hill on a rise overlooking the town centre. A single chairlift serves two gentle runs suited to beginners and children. It opens every day except Mondays, and on weekday and Saturday evenings the slope is floodlit for night skiing, so locals ski after work or school. Lift prices are low. Depending on snow, the hill opens in January or February and runs to early March.
