Omori Park Ski Area Closed
Official name 大森公園スキー場
Akita
Open 1982–2018
Omori Park Ski Area was a small hill inside Omori Park in Omori, Yokote, Akita Prefecture. It opened in 1982 with one surface lift and one rope tow. Falling visitor numbers led to its closure after the 2017-18 season, and that last winter it was open free of charge. The old slope is now planted with about 220,000 moss phlox and hosts the Omori Resort Village Shibazakura Festa every May.
