Ohdai Ski Resort is a city-owned hill on the mountainside above Ota in Daisen, Akita, with views across the Senboku Plain from the top. Two pair chairlifts serve six runs: a wide, gentle family run, a wooded beginner trail, and steeper advanced runs with moguls and fresh snow after storms, including the long, varied Champion course. A table-top jump and rails cater to freestylers, and the slopes are lit on Friday and Saturday evenings and before holidays. An SAJ ski school and a JSBA snowboard school make it a training ground for local kids and racers, and Kawaguchi Onsen is a short drive away.
