Nakazato Snow Wood Ski Area trail map
Nakazato Snow Wood is a small ski area right in front of the Angel Grandia Echigo-Nakazato resort hotel in Yuzawa, Niigata. You walk out of the hotel onto the snow, and the main run, about 1.5 km long, winds through trees to a broad, smooth lower slope that suits beginners and children. The hotel adds a hot spring, a childcare room and kids' lessons, with a snow play area beside the slope. It is about a 10-minute walk from Echigo-Nakazato Station, and the larger Yuzawa Nakazato Snow Resort is next door.
