Mt. Ushiroeboshidake

後烏帽子岳

Ushiroeboshidake is a 1,681 m peak in the southern Zao Range (Minami-Zao) of southern Miyagi, with a clean conical silhouette draped in primeval beech and mizunara oak forest that makes it stand out from the surrounding hills. It rises behind the Miyagi Zao Eboshi Resort, and the resort's gondola and chairlift give comparatively easy access to the upper ridge, from where the summit looks out across Byōbu-dake and the rest of the southern Zao crest. The peak lies within Zao Quasi-National Park and is included in the regional guidebook Miyagi-ken no Yama.
