Mt. Takamizusan is a 759 m peak in northern Ōme City, Tokyo — the easternmost of the 'Takamizu Sanzan', three linked summits (Takamizu, Iwatake-ishi 793 m, and Sōgaku 756 m) that form a popular gateway to the Okutama hills. Jōfukuin Ryūgaku-ji temple stands just below the summit, where a lion dance is dedicated each April, said to have been handed down from Ōtaba in Okutama around 1768. A loop course of about 9.4 km links the trailheads at JR Ikusabata and Mitake stations and has been climbed as an introductory day hike from central Tokyo since before the Second World War. The mountain appears on numerous lists including the Hana-no-Hyakumeizan, Tokyo Satoyama 100, and Tama Hyakuzan.
