Sayama Ski Resort is a roofed, machine-made-snow slope next to the Belluna Dome in Tokorozawa, Saitama, and one of the largest indoor-style ski areas in the Kanto region. It is a few minutes' walk from Seibu-Kyujo-mae Station, so Tokyo residents can arrive by train with no gear and rent everything. Snow escalators serve a 300 m slope of up to 15 degrees split into beginner and intermediate sections, and skiing continues into the evening. A snow park for sledding and snowball fights, parent-and-child lessons and a season from late October to late March make it a popular first taste of snow and a pre-season warm-up.

Getting to Sayama Ski Resort and parking

Car: Tokorozawa IC, Kan-etsu Expressway, 12 km, 30 min
Parking: No dedicated car park (use the nearby Belluna Dome car park)

Train

Seibukyujo-mae Station Seibu Ikebukuro Line via Nishi-Tokorozawa and Sayama Line, or Seibu Shinjuku Line and Tamako Line (change at Tamako) to the Yamaguchi Line (Leo Liner) → Exit the ticket gates and go up the stairs straight ahead to the entrance
