Mt. Pippu is a 2,197 m volcanic summit in the northern Daisetsuzan range of central Hokkaido, on the ridge that extends north-east from Mt. Hokuchin. Together with the neighbouring Aibetsu-dake, Antaroma-dake and Tōma-dake it forms the "Northern Loop" of the Omote-Daisetsu traverse. The summit area is scree and pine-scrub above sharp drops over the jagged Aibetsu ridge. Within Daisetsuzan National Park, the peak is reached on the demanding traverse from Sōunkyō via Mt. Kuro and Mt. Hokuchin, or from Aizankei Onsen via Mt. Nagayama.
