黒岳石室

1,894 m · Kamikawa, Hokkaido · 0.8 km from the summit of Mount Kuro

A seasonally staffed stone shelter at about 1,893 m, roughly 800 m southwest of Mount Kurodake's summit in Daisetsuzan National Park. From Sounkyo, hikers take the ropeway and chairlift to the seventh station, climb over the summit, and descend to the hut. Built in 1923, it remains a historic overnight and transit base on the central Daisetsuzan traverse.
