1,998 m · Kamikawa, Hokkaido · 1.9 km from the summit of Mount Aka

A seasonally staffed shelter at about 1,998 m on the main central Daisetsuzan ridge, roughly 1 km south of Mount Hakuun. It is reached either over Mount Akadake from Ginsendai or on the traverse from the Kurodake and Asahidake side. Rebuilt in 2020, it is an important overnight and trail-information base for long-distance hikers.
