Mt. Oku-Hijiri

Mt. Oku-Hijiri is a 2,978.7 m peak in Aoi Ward, Shizuoka City, lying within Minami Alps National Park about 500 m east of the main summit of Mt. Hijiri (Mae-Hijiri, 3,013 m) on a ridge of the Akaishi Range. It is the eastern of Hijiri's twin summits and bears the triangulation marker even though it is the lower peak; snow-bed plant communities flourish on its western slope. The summit can be reached on a roughly thirty-minute round trip from the main peak.
