Hyakkenbora Hut
百閒洞山の家
2,462 m · Shizuoka, Shizuoka · 2.9 km from the summit of Mount Akaishi
Shizuoka city hut at about 2,460m in the Hyakkendo valley, which cuts into the west side of the ridge linking Akaishidake and Hijiridake in the Southern Alps. Tokushu Tokai Forest runs it, and it is used by walkers traversing from Sawarajima and between the two peaks. Stays are room-only with bedding provided; no meals are served, though retort food and cup noodles are sold. A campsite for about 20 tents adjoins it, taken on the day without reservation. Water comes from a small stream above the hut or upstream of the campsite, but flow is thin in autumn. Part of the hut is left open outside the season. In 2026, repair work limits hut lodging to the end of August.
