Shizuoka prefectural emergency hut at about 3,100m, just below the summit of Akaishidake in the Southern Alps. Tokushu Tokai Forest operates it, and during the summer season a keeper is present and takes room-only guests with bedding provided. Being on the crest there is no water source and no supply at the hut, so water must be carried up from Arakawa-goya or the head of Kitazawa. No meals are served, but retort food, cup noodles, trail snacks and drinks are sold. There is no designated campsite nearby, so tents are not allowed. With space for just 10 people, organised tours and groups are in principle not accepted. Outside the season the second floor is left open as a shelter.
