Mountain hut on Hijiridaira at about 2,200m, below the 3,013m summit of Hijiridake in the southern Southern Alps. Run by the Ikawa Tourism Association, it can be reached from the Hijirisawa trailhead on the Shizuoka side or the Benga-shima trailhead in Nagano; the Shizuoka approach adds roughly four hours of forest road from the Hatanagi No.1 Dam. The hut sits in thick green woodland rich in alpine flowers, with Akaishidake to the north and Tekaridake to the south, so it serves as a staging post for traverses of the range. The season runs from mid-July to late September; no meals are served and stays are room-only, with bedding for rent. Water and toilets are outdoors, and the shop stocks instant food and emergency provisions.
