Mt. Kousekiyama

Kōsekiyama is a 1,205-metre mountain near the border of Katashina and Kawaba villages in northern Gunma Prefecture, one of the prefecture's "100 Famous Mountains of Gunma." Its name (meaning "ore mountain") is said to come from former garnet mining, and it is usually climbed from the Kawaba Ski Resort side. Its wooded summit gives limited views, though Mount Hotaka can be seen to the north.
