Mt. Konpira is a 468 m peak in the Itsukaichi, Irino and Tokura districts of Akiruno City, Tokyo, a wooded hill north-west of Musashi-Itsukaichi Station. Kotohira Shrine sits near the summit, and the area is maintained by the city as Konpira Park; an observation platform and small rest hut look out over the former Itsukaichi Lake and, on clear days, as far as Tokyo Skytree and Yokohama Landmark Tower. Famed for its wild cherries and azaleas, the mountain is about an hour's walk from Musashi-Itsukaichi Station, and the trail from Kotohira Shrine descends to Seone-no-yu hot spring in the Akigawa valley in about 90 minutes. It is listed in the Tama 100 Mountains, the 100 Selected Satoyama of Tokyo, the Tokyo 100 Famous Mountains and many other Tokyo-area selections, an accessible peak for half-day hikes from the city.
