Komaruyama is a 1,601-meter mountain at the top of the Kirifuri Highland Kisugedaira Garden on the southern slope of Mount Akanagi in Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture. The Komaruyama observation deck (about 1,582 m), reached by the 1,445-step "Sky Corridor," looks out over the Kanto Plain, seas of cloud and sunrises. Famous for its colonies of nikko-kisuge day lilies, it lies within Nikko National Park and serves as a trailhead for Mount Akanagi. It is counted among the 350 Mountains around Tokyo.
