Edelweiss Ski Resort trail map
Edelweiss is a family-oriented ski area on the western slopes of Mount Takahara in Nikko, above the Kinugawa and Kawaji hot-spring towns. Its ten runs are split fairly evenly between easy, intermediate and advanced, from a gentle family slope to a short pitch of over 30 degrees, and a mogul course is set up each season. A kids' snow park with sledding makes it easy with small children. Parking is free, and on weekends and holidays a reservation-only free shuttle bus runs up from near Kinugawa-Onsen Station.
