Mount Yakushi

A 1,420-meter mountain on the border of Nikkō and Kanuma Cities, Tochigi Prefecture. One of the Mae-Nikkō peaks southeast of Lake Chūzenji, its ridge linking the Yakushi, Jizō, and Yūhi peaks was walked as the Shugendō 'Zenchō Gyōja' path and is lined with Akayashio azaleas in spring. The summit overlooks the Nikkō range, and it is listed in the '350 Mountains around Tokyo'.
